Commercial images are among the trickiest to take as these are shot on location, where lighting may not be the best, and the background is often not ideal. The trick to the art is to make use of available and additional lighting that does not blow out (over light) the subject matter, and make the best use of the background, with as few adjustments as needed.
These pictures are, however, among the most rewarding as they garner wide-spread use and are often a company’s public face. As such, they require additional care when being taken, and need to be picture perfect.
In some instances, they also require editing in Photoshop. Editing in Photoshop is not our preferred option, although we are accomplished in Photoshop and can edit any image that is editable. In other words, unless the photograph needs to exactly capture the moment as it happened, to preserve it in a historical manner for publication, we can clean it up as much as is required.
